So here I am talking about Romero again. It hasn’t been very long since I last saw them, but they have been doing some recording. This turns out to be a good thing. As I said in my last review of Romero, the newer songs were stronger. At this show they played more of the newer material they had and the songs were better.
I felt that they played tighter at this show. The newer songs that I had not yet heard were definitely the strongest of the bunch. I still think that they are trying to find their niche in the stoner rock genera. While the songs are stronger, they still seem to be missing their voice in the scene. I continue to believe that with time they are going to evolve into a strong presence in stoner rock community, especially with two vocalists on board. I would recommend catching Romero if you have the chance.
